3 Tips to Identify and Attract Your Dream Customer

When defining your target market, the first thing many of us think of is demographics. Of course, it is important to know their age and location, but it is imperative to take a deeper dive into who they really are. What are their true pain points? What do they value in a brand? A dream client is be the customer who would benefit your business 20 times more than any other client. Today we will walk you through 3 simple tips to help pinpoint and attract your dream customers!

1. Identify what challenges your dream customer faces.

Once you can identify what challenges your dream clients face, you can create an offering that supports solving these problems! A quote from Henry Ford states “If I had asked people what they wanted; they would have said faster horses.” Many people see the only solution to this problem as finding faster horses, when really the true pain point is that people want to get from one place to another more efficiently. Once you understand the underlying problem your target is facing, you can focus on providing innovative solutions that will attract your dream customer (and also help you differentiate from the competition)!

2. Just be yourself.

Want to attract customers that share your passions and interests? This may be easier said than done; JUST BE YOURSELF! If you don’t embrace your uniqueness and communicate your passions with your customer, you may wind up looking generic. Once you get clear with not only yourself but also with your customers about who you are and what your business stands for, you will attract the right customers.

3. Get specific.

Which words would you use to best describe your dream customers? Tech savvy? Environmentally conscious? Once you define words that emulate your target market, use them in your website, social media, bio, written content and everything else! Narrowing in on these traits and behaviors will help your dream customer connect and identify with your business.

We hope that these three simple tips can get you closer to attracting and identifying your dream customer! If there's anything better than leads, then it's the leads from dream customers.
